Analysis on BDS-3 Autonomous Navigation Performance Based on the LEO Constellation and Regional Stations

The global navigation satellite system (GNSS) is developing rapidly, and the related market applications scientific research are increasing. Studies based on large low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations have become hotspots. coverage of LEO constellation can reduce dependence satellites ground-monitoring stations improve precise determination (POD) accuracy satellites. In this paper, we simulate various (with 12, 30, 60 satellites), along with ground stations’ observation data, to examine impact precision BeiDou-3 Global Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) in terms its POD accuracy. Using simulated data both stations, analyze integrated for BDS-3 findings reveal that 3D orbital 9.51 dm by using only seven it improved a centimeter level after adding constellations. As number increases, improving gradually diminishes. time synchronization BDS-3, compared results clock offset addition 12 resulted an improvement 49% RMS1(root mean square) 52% RMS2 (standard deviation), 30 66% RMS1 70% RMS2, 87% 90% RMS2. greatly improves synchronization. addition, also use inter-satellite link (ISL) perform enhanced experiments. experiments showed sta (seven stations) ISL scheme comparable LEO12 scheme, slightly worse. preliminary could enhance obtain higher
